Artifact Graphics has gone by many different names in the past. Originally, Michelle just signed her artwork with all of her initials, RMAL. (Her nickname was Robin.) Marriage and a business license had their effects on the company name. None of the names were very good. (Neither was the marriage.)

Finally, in 2011, a brilliant editrix and friend, Sandy Masuo, created the name “Artifact.” The name makes reference to the art and the facts that go into Michelle’s graphics.
