Butterfly Poster

Michelle Annette Leveille designed this Boeing-sponsored poster along with activity sheets on the back for first grade students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. The colorful image here depicts native local plants and animals, and focuses on the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly.

By the way, here is an earlier draft of the butterfly artwork. You can see it changed quite a bit. The main subject, which was the metamorphosis of the American painted lady butterfly utilizing the pearly everlasting plant, changed to different species.
