Morning with the Artist

Our own Michelle Annette Leveille and her ambassador emu, Esmerelda, gave a lively presentation at an art event today. 

At-risk children from the Orange County GOALs program attended the event in the Orange Senior Center.

Michelle told them of her own background as a biological illustrator, and encouraged them to draw Esmerelda as she escorted the ostrich-like bird amongst them.

SMany senior citizens who came to play bingo at the center were pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to join the youths in drawing, touching the bird, and posing for photos.
